Description
Description
This unit was created in response to a request from American rock guitarist Steve Stevens who wanted an overdrive and equalizer all in one.
This single unit features a 6-band EQ that covers everything from clean boost to overdrive and allows for precise frequency adjustment.
Controls
6 Band Graphic EQ:
Band 1 - 100 Hz
Band 2 - 200 Hz
Band 3 - 400 Hz
Band 4 - 800 Hz
Band 5- 1.5K
Band 6- 3.2K
Cut or boost up to 18dB at six different frequencies. Note: As you increase the frequency (raise the slider), the volume also increases, so be careful. This allows you to get a stronger sound from the front end of the amp than with a standard Archer. Too much boost can make the sound noisy, so be careful not to raise the slider too much. EQ is usually more effective at cutting frequencies. Your EQ choices can be extreme or subtle, but feel free to experiment.
The Rockaway Archer has an incredible range of sounds.
Volume: Controls the overall output
Gain: Controls the overall gain
To achieve the same frequencies as the Archer, you'll need to adjust the EQ accordingly, but otherwise the EQ before gain is relatively flat. A stock Archer is not flat.
Adding gain to the Rockaway will change the frequencies in the same way as the Archer, but you can tweak them however you like with the EQ.
