Description

The BN5 is a representative F-bass model. This model was built with the optional Macassar Ebony fingerboard.

F-bass is a small, elite, handmade bass brand led by leading Canadian luthier George Furlanetto. While their instruments have established a unique, original style, they also have a feel and sound similar to JBs, making them a long-established, high-end bass brand that is now supported by top players around the world, regardless of genre.

This instrument is the flagship F-bass model, the "BN." Its flowing body lines, offering excellent balance when playing, exude the refined, intelligent elegance of a high-performance machine. Combined with the rich texture of the gloss lacquer finish, it exudes a simple yet profound elegance. This instrument features a matching headstock, and the wood pickup covers are also painted the same color as the body. Also unusual for the BN series is the Hipshot A-style bridge.

The 34.5-inch scale provides exquisite tonal balance, while the high-quality woods offer an open, natural sound. The original pickups and preamp provide a wide range and quick response, while the meticulous setup, including the dedicated strings, ensures excellent playability, making this a truly remarkable instrument. Each pickup is a stacked single pickup, with hum-cancelling and single mode selectable by pushing or pulling the rear volume knob. The hand-shaped grips, asymmetrical on the treble and bass string sides, provide a comfortable, clean grip, especially when transitioning to higher positions. Players will be able to fully enjoy the rich sound they value most in the bass's essential role.

While maintaining a sense of calm and elegance, the rich resonance inherent in the wood and the dynamic tone are clearly evident. Experience a deep, resonant feeling that comes straight from the core, a powerful, satisfying resonance that lingers, and a sense of exhilaration when playing with a pick. This instrument also features an optional Macassar ebony fingerboard. Combined with an A-style bridge, you'll experience a more lower center of gravity and a more solid, more solid tone. While maintaining a traditional sound, the unique quality of this brand's basses is its elevated quality. This instrument is a true F-bass, responding to players' needs regardless of genre. The F-bass has become rare in Japan in recent years. If you're looking for a high-quality 5-string bass, this is the perfect opportunity.
