Roger Sadowsky, renowned for his savvy customization skills on the East Coast, has become a brand holder dedicated to pursuing the essence of great instruments and collaborating with musicians. The Roger Sadowsky Select was created with a clear concept: to create what Roger himself wanted to create. The concept began with sourcing the right wood, and he personally determined the specifications based on his experienced inspiration. The Roger Sadowsky Select is a special Sadowsky bass crafted from the finest woods, hand-picked by Roger himself. As a mark of a Roger's Select, a Skyline inlay featuring the New York skyline is placed above the 12th fret.

This guitar was manufactured in 2015. It features a koa top with a beautiful grain that was unparalleled even at the time. It's rare to find a koa top like this these days. The body back is made of shining golden mahogany. This beautiful piece is also dense and beautiful, and is an excellent tonewood, responsible for the tone of the instrument. It produces a dense, tight sound despite its light weight. The neck is made of carefully selected roasted flame maple, and the fingerboard is made of African blackwood. The pickups are two soapbar pickups, which were also used by Willie.

This 24-fret bass is especially captivating with its superb single notes, which combine a rich tone with a vibrant, dynamic swing in the upper positions. The ethereal tone of this instrument, as if bathed in cocktail light, gives it a truly special presence in terms of sound.

The Roger Sadowsky Select was not made to order. It is a gem of a guitar, crafted from materials and inspirations discovered by a master craftsman who wanted to create a special instrument worthy of this precious wood, which is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain worldwide.

Aside from two minor dents on the tip of the headstock, the guitar remains in almost brand new condition. The gold hardware is in excellent condition with minimal aging. This guitar arrived in our shop in the aforementioned year and is a one-owner pre-owned item with a sales history. The neck is in excellent condition, and there are no issues with fret wear, the truss rod, or the electrical system. All the original accessories are included.
