Description

[Bass Collection 15th Anniversary]
This is the first time we have a brand new, top-quality item in stock!

Founded in 1986, Kenneth Lawrence Instruments is a world-class custom guitar and bass manufacturer based in Arcata, California, amidst the natural beauty of northern California. Luthier Ken Lawrence is best known for the guitars he built for Metallica's James Hetfield, but his high-quality custom basses, crafted by Lawrence, who is also a professional bassist, are well-known among bass enthusiasts.

In consideration of the environment, Lawrence avoids using rare materials as much as possible and is committed to using sustainable wood, and each instrument is carefully crafted and finished by hand without compromise, with specifications that vary from one to another to meet the individual needs of each customer. Because he places importance on making instruments that satisfy each order rather than meeting a large number of demands, he produces a very limited number of instruments per year, ranging from just a dozen to 20.

We had been searching for a special piece to celebrate the 15th anniversary of our bass collection, and we were given this rare opportunity to introduce such a wonderful piece.

This chambered model of the "Brase II" features a premium Hawaiian Koa top on a hollow one-piece alder body and is set up in low B specifications.

This is a wonderful guitar with a rich, firm midrange thanks to the alder wood and a spacious sound thanks to the chamber structure. Unlike the previously completed Brace I, which has a high C specification, this one has a low B/HIPSHOT bridge. (You can also use this in a high C specification if you prefer and get very good results.)

Due to the small number of units produced, there are very few of them available on the used market, let alone new ones, and it is extremely difficult to find a special one among them.
If you're interested, please consider this opportunity!
