Takamine, a long-established Japanese acoustic brand, is often used by musicians overseas and has now become one of the most well-known brands worldwide.Its electric acoustic guitar models in particular are a great fit for band ensembles, and are used by many famous rock musicians.
This Takamine dreadnought cutaway model is one of its most popular models, widely used both domestically and internationally. The body is crafted from solid cedar with maple back and sides. The maple's bright, crisp tone is complemented by the soft, warm tone of the cedar, rounding out the maple's sharp edges. The powerful low end and overtones characteristic of the dreadnought style create a well-balanced sound with a spacious feel. The neck is crafted from a classic combination of mahogany and rosewood, with a 42.5mm nut width and asymmetrical grip shape for superior playability.
The preamp is the CT4-DX (DMP), which uses two 9V batteries to drive its 18V high voltage, providing unprecedented headroom. It fully satisfies the wide dynamic range of an acoustic guitar, which has a large minimum and maximum volume range, delivering a pure, distortion-free, rich sound, from gentle strumming to hard picking that makes the strings vibrate.
In addition to Takamine's original bridge pickup, Palastic, which is recognized by top professionals worldwide, the TD-1000 features Dual Mode, allowing you to connect any pickup you like. Dual EQ and notch filters allow you to maximize the individual characteristics of each pickup, and you can freely adjust the mix balance, providing unprecedented sonic flexibility.
In normal 1-pickup mode, two groups of EQ can be linked, providing control comparable to that of a professional PA console, with a 4-point EQ and two notch filters.
