Description
A signature pedal based on the Match Box, which features two independent overdrives, has been created incorporating Kelly Simonz's requests!
The dynamic range that doesn't impair the expression of your picking, the brilliant harmonic components, and the drive tone that keeps up with the speedy playing of iconic sounds are truly overwhelming.
While the standard MatchBox consists of two independent overdrive circuits, "RED" and "GOLD," this Special Edition replaces "RED" with "SILVER," a circuit fine-tuned to suit Kelly Simonz's playing. This special edition also features a sophisticated footswitch circuit for on/off control, and TRS jacks for latching signals to control each circuit's on/off. The custom-made 2mm brass housing features an antique feel and distressed finish for a classic, dignified appearance.
Kelly Simonz uses it to further boost a distorted amp, adjusting the DRIVE to add edge and distortion when playing wound strings, and the FLAVOR to improve clarity and definition even when playing fast phrases with plain strings.
[Sophisticated footswitch circuitry]
It is possible to switch between "SILVER" and "GOLD" individually on/off, or between "BOTH" and "both off" simultaneously with a single action from any state.
What is [FLAVOR]?
This is no ordinary tone control!
This is a secret ingredient that adjusts the tone that changes in response to the DRIVE value.
Adding FLAVOR will give you a more distinctive guitar sound that won't get lost in the band ensemble.
