Description
The Deep Sea Diver Fuzz-Echo is a signature model by Jessica Dobson (Deep Sea Diver), combining gate-adjustable fuzz and delay.
Fuzz section
It is configured using three silicon transistors, and has a sound that is somewhere between the so-called Bender series ``mk1.5'' and ``mk2.''
The controls include BIAS, which adjusts the degree of sound breakdown (graininess), and GATE, which adjusts the audibility of the gate, allowing you to create a wide range of sounds, from smooth and sustained to the thick, harmonically rich, choppy sounds heard in Deep Sea Diver's sound sources.
*Due to the circuit configuration, a hissing noise may be heard even at low distortion settings.
Delay section
Designed based on the PT2399 circuit, it has a highly versatile sound.
Holding down the footswitch sends the sound to the feedback circuit, creating an oscillating effect.
Routing changes
The Deep Sea Diver Fuzz-Echo allows you to switch the order of fuzz and delay.
Press and hold the footswitch when powering on to switch modes.
・LED is green: Fuzz → Delay ・LED is orange: Delay → Fuzz
Power supply: 9VDC/100mA/center negative power adapter (sold separately)
