Pearl's Masters Series has remained a favorite gear of professional drummers to this day, able to withstand the rigors of live touring.
In 1985, the legendary MLX drums were released as part of the Professional Series, earning acclaim for their powerful maple sound. The PMX series continues that original spirit.
It features a slightly thinner, evenly-thick 6-ply (5.4mm) maple shell, and comes standard with the extremely stable Super Hoop II and REMO UT head.
While it is a professional-spec model, it is also a beginner-friendly standard model that delivers consistent sound and performance.

The slightly thin, evenly-thick 6-ply (5.4mm thick) maple shell combined with the Super Hoop II produces an open, warm, and responsive sound.
It also comes equipped with simple and standard parts such as classic lugs and traditional style strainers.
