Description

TRANSPARENT OVERDRIVE
To be honest, I don't really understand what transparent means, do you?

This special feature started with a simple question posed by one of our staff members: "What is so transparent about transparent overdrive?"
We take a closer look at the true nature of transparent overdrive, a somewhat contradictory entity that is distorted yet also feels transparent.
We spoke to the designers of famous models recognized on the market, got advice on how to use them from experts, and tried out a collection of models that are considered to be the roots of this genre. We used a variety of methods to analyze the origins and individuality of this genre, as well as the correct way to use it.
"Transparent" is the hottest keyword in the drive pedal market right now, but also the most ambiguously defined. Over the course of 50 pages, we'll explore just how transparent it is.
