Description

A limited edition model from the "Hermes" series featuring a color not listed in the catalog and black hardware.

Kikuchi Guitars was born 30 years after Yoshiyuki Kikuchi, a leading Japanese luthier, visited Roger Sadowsky, a world-renowned contemporary master craftsman. You can experience the full depth of his musical instrument knowledge, which he has cultivated while faithfully inheriting Sadowsky's philosophy.

The "Hermes" series is the brand's standard series. While the basic specifications and manufacturing quality are almost the same as the custom models, the standard model with fixed specifications offers high cost performance.

This limited-edition model features a body color and black hardware exclusive to the "Custom" series. Its bold looks make for an impressive finish. Kikuchi Guitars is the culmination of Mr. Kikuchi's knowledge and experience from Sadowsky and Three Dots Guitars. Experience the world-class sound and playability of this brand.

- Neck -
The neck is stronger and the head is thicker to create optimal tone and weight balance during playing. The nut width is narrower than that of a typical J-style guitar, and the neck grip is thick enough to provide durability and playability, making it easy to grip. This allows for smooth playing from low to high positions, even on a 5-string mute with a wide neck width.

In addition, by using nickel frets with a higher hardness, noise generated when pressing the frets is reduced, producing a punchy sound despite the nickel frets. The 22-fret count allows for compatibility with a wide range of musical genres. The neck joint is positioned deeper toward the bridge without excessive fringing, allowing for playing with a feel similar to that of a 21-fret bass.

The string height is set uniformly at all fret positions to accommodate a variety of playing styles and musical genres, producing a powerful tone for powerful picking and a warm, enveloping tone for gentle, caressing fingering.

-Body-
The redesigned Dinky shape body allows for comfortable playing even for players of all builds. Not only is it easy to handle and produces a modern tone, but the solid body with just the right amount of weight produces a well-articulated tone and a wide range of tonal variations.

The MV model is made of ash and features a light, crisp tone from the maple fingerboard, as well as a dry, punchy tone.

- Hardware -
The lightweight and highly maneuverable Hipshot parts used in the Custom Series are placed in various locations, directly conveying the characteristics of the wood and creating a more natural sound.

- Pickups -
This model is made by DiMarzio and is also used in the Custom Series. It is a sharp, articulate, powerful pickup with reduced noise and hum cancellation.

- Preamp -
To achieve the ultimate tone, Kikuchi developed an original preamp, also used in the Custom Series, in collaboration with the world's leading design manufacturer. When boosted, the bass and treble are clear and natural at any setting, while the midrange is scooped. When switching between passive and active, the amplifier is designed to minimize the perceived volume and sound quality difference.
