Description
Description
A highly refined mouthpiece from one of the world's leading craftsmen
Greg Black, who was trained in custom mouthpiece production directly by Bob Jardinelli (founder of Jardinelli) before going independent, had a workshop near New York for a long time and was able to personally handle the requests of players, mainly in the New York area.
In recent years, the brand has become known as a manufacturer of trombone mouthpieces, but before going independent, the man himself was a trumpet player who performed and earned a bachelor's degree in music at university.
In fact, it is loved by many trumpet players regardless of genre, but because each one is made by hand using the traditional method, it is known as one of the most difficult mouthpieces to obtain, even though it is still being produced today.
Standard model regular weight, silver plated finish.
Greg Black: Greg Black mouthpieces are extremely difficult to obtain, not only in Japan but also in the US mainland.
Come and find out why it is so enthusiastically supported by so many musicians.
•All bore sizes are "27".
•The backbore of the "S" and "M" cups is the "#3" backbore. "#3" is the standard backbore equivalent to the "#1" from the Black & Hill era.
•The backbore of the "C" cup is a "#7" backbore.
The "#7" is equivalent to the "#8" from the Black & Hill era and is an all-around backbore.
•The "#3" backbore is the standard backbore used for Grec Black mouthpieces in S and M cups.
•The #9 backbore is designed to be somewhere between the #7 and #24 backbore, and has a slightly more open feel than the standard #7 backbore. It is a symphonic backbore with a core and dark sound.
7C / 16.3mm (Medium Deep)
