EDGE QUADRO MODELING MIC

Mic modeling in three dimensions

Edge Quadro is Antelope Audio's most advanced modeling microphone. This stereo microphone features two large dual-membrane capsules and a rotating head.

Independent processing lets you record each of the four channels independently, enabling stereo techniques like M/S, X/Y, Blumlein, and even 3D sound. Edge Quadro is the only microphone you need for stereo and 360° recording.


■An epic mic emulation library
Edge Quadro is already available with 11 classic microphone models, with seven more classic microphone emulations planned for release in the future, further expanding the library. The smart control panel allows users to select two different microphone emulations simultaneously, one for each microphone head.

■Experiment like never before
The Edge Quadro heads offer next-level precision and adjustability. You can silently rotate the top head while recording with the microphone. Each Quadro head operates in all possible polar patterns: cardioid, figure-8, omnidirectional, and any directional or continuous pattern in between.

Combining these features provides virtually infinite variation in tonality and stereo image for a wide range of creative effects.

■High compatibility
The Edge emulations are optimized to work with Antelope's precision mic preamps and converters for maximum accuracy. Edge Duo can be used in conjunction with any of Antelope Audio's mic preamp-equipped interfaces. Built-in FPGA processing allows for real-time vintage mic emulation.

However, Edge Duo also includes Antelope's native emulation plug-ins, so you can use third-party audio interfaces and change modeling settings after recording. Antelope's Native AFX Plug-ins* are available in VST, AU, and AAX formats for both macOS and Windows, and offer minimal latency, a high degree of oversampling, and accurate floating-point calculations.

Berlin 47 FT - The ultimate kick drum microphone. Large, full-bodied sound with unparalleled low end, also suitable for bass cabinets.

Berlin 49T - A classic male vocal microphone, it effortlessly captures tube warmth while maintaining musical presence.

Berlin 57 - Similar mid-range warmth and velvety highs to the Berlin 47 and 67, but with a slightly less colored response.

Berlin 87 - Ideal for vocals, acoustic instruments, and other instruments that require brightness.

Berlin 67 - Good for softening drum overheads and other sharp instruments.

Berlin M103 - A natural-sounding, all-purpose studio microphone with less coloration and a wider dynamic range than its 87 sibling.

Vienna 12 - The original is at the top of many professionals' dream lists and is considered the holy grail of vocal and brass microphones.

Vienna 414 - Ideal for drum overheads, acoustic instruments, and other airy sources.

Oxford 4038 - The perfect solution for drum overheads, piano and room applications, the Oxford 4038 is a favorite among pros for its versatility and infinite smoothness.

Sacramento 121R - A top choice for guitar cabinets, this emulation has a very warm and distinctive sound with a gentle musical roll-off at the high end.
