■LARGE DIAPHRAGM CARDIOID CONDENSER MODELING MICROPHONE
The Edge Solo, a large-diaphragm cardioid condenser microphone powered by Antelope Audio's cutting-edge Modeling Engine, gives you access to 18 timeless classics all in one.
The Edge Solo is a unidirectional large-diaphragm condenser microphone, delivering clean, natural sounding recordings with any interface or preamp. This microphone is designed for artists and engineers who need a single solution for a variety of situations and applications. In addition to high-performance hardware, Antelope Audio developed a proprietary Modeling Engine to add advanced tone shaping to the microphone's own sound. With 18 microphone emulations, this product is an extremely versatile and effective recording tool. It's ideal for home recording and professional studio recording, capturing vocals, acoustic instruments, guitar and bass cabinets, drums, and percussion.
- Large-diameter condenser microphone for high-resolution audio
- 18 classic mic emulations with incredible tone-shaping capabilities
- Unidirectional pickup pattern
- User-friendly software designed for speed and efficiency
■One excellent independent microphone
Edge Solo features a low self-noise, high SPL, 6-micron gold-sputtered diaphragm. Combined with a low-resonance body and low-reflection head basket, this capsule delivers ultra-fast transients, a flat frequency response, and exceptional dynamic range, resulting in a high-performance microphone for clean, natural-sounding recordings.
■Abundant tone shaping emulations
In addition to its original sound, Edge Solo has the ability to simulate 18 of the most popular microphones, ranging from dynamic classics to rare tube and FET large-diaphragm condensers that have stood the test of time. To develop these emulations, Antelope Audio collaborated with several respected European facilities to rigorously measure and test multiple impeccably preserved vintage microphones as well as modern high-end classics. The 18 emulations provide the sonic diversity needed to suit any voice or instrument, whether at home or in the studio.
■A new vision for the recording experience
The goal of Antelope Audio's modeling microphones, including the Edge Solo, is not only to offer a variety of sonically diverse emulations in one body, but also to broaden your recording capabilities with features not available in traditional microphones. Antelope Audio's modeling concept improves your workflow by allowing you to switch microphone emulations with one click during recording or post-production. When combined with Antelope Audio's interfaces, you can enjoy imperceptible latency while tracking and selecting the microphone emulation best suited to the task. You can also record without modeling and modify the sound later with native emulation plug-ins*. This means it's compatible with any DAW or interface.
*iLok 2 or 3 required to use the emulations as native plug-ins in your DAW.
