■ KH 150 EU/KR (pair)
NEUMANN precision, incredible low-frequency performance, unparalleled power
The KH 150 is a powerful 2-way powered studio monitor offering reference-class performance. Its 6.5" woofer in a bass-reflex cabinet delivers incredible low-frequency performance, exceptional maximum SPL, and consistent intelligibility. DSP-controlled electronics ensure excellent linear phase response, while Neumann's innovative MA 1 automatic monitor alignment ensures optimal calibration in any room.
Reproduce what you hear with your ears
The KH 150 was developed with the same philosophy as all Neumann studio monitors: maximum linearity, extremely low distortion, no unwanted coloration, and perfect adaptation to any acoustic environment. Every nuance of the music is heard, and mixing, once the idea is set, is incredibly fast and easy. And the creativity is unparalleled. It sounds great, but is it really good enough? Are the vocals too bright? Are the sibilance too harsh? Is the bass too prominent? All of these questions are answered by the KH 150.
Performance comparable to that of large speakers
What sets the KH 150 apart from its more compact sibling? Its exceptional low-frequency performance, down to 39 Hz. Thanks to a new 6.5" woofer housed in a carefully designed bass-reflex cabinet, the KH 150 delivers low-frequency performance on par with the larger KH 310. This exceptional low-frequency performance makes it ideal for urban music, EDM, film soundtracks, and any genre that demands deep bass and high volume. And thanks to its powerful amplifiers (145W/100W) and advanced protection limiters, you can be confident that clarity will not be lost even at high sound pressure levels. A truly universal speaker, the KH 150 is suited to all musical genres and applications, from rock to classical, broadcasting, and voice-over.
The KH 150 boasts an astonishing linear frequency response of 39 Hz to 21 kHz (±3 dB) with linearized phase response. It boasts incredibly transparent midrange and exceptional time domain precision, ensuring accurate impulse reproduction and flawless elimination of reverberation. This is made possible by DSP-controlled electronics, with advanced crossovers that eliminate phase distortion inherent in analog filters. The onboard DSP also sets new standards for tonal consistency, achieving a tolerance of less than ±0.8 dB—a discernible error. Experience the razor-sharp stereo image.

■MA 1 (DSP monitor microphone)
Reliable Monitoring Everywhere: Neumann Automatic Alignment is a dedicated tool for stereo setups consisting of KH 80 DSP monitors with or without KH 750 DSP and two non-DSP-based KH-Line monitors connected to the analog output of a KH 750 DSP subwoofer. Unlike traditional calibration software, this integrated solution features new algorithms developed specifically for Neumann studio monitors in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits (IIS). No plug-ins or special audio drivers are required. Alignment data is stored and processed within the DSP-equipped monitors themselves. A unique advantage is that the software not only optimizes the amplitude response, but also the phase. This ensures the highest accuracy in tonality and impulse reproduction.
How it works: The first step is a guided process to collect acoustic data from your listening environment. No special acoustic knowledge is required. Simply connect your Neumann monitors to the outputs of your audio interface or monitor controller. Additionally, you will need to connect the DSP-based KH monitor speakers to your computer's Ethernet port. If you are connecting multiple devices, a standard Ethernet switch is required.
Next, connect a measurement microphone, specially developed and individually calibrated for this software, to the microphone input. The software will guide you through the measurement process.
From the measured data, the software determines the acoustic characteristics of the room. Individual correction parameters are generated according to the room-specific target characteristics calculated by the software. This process incorporates Neumann's decades of experience in calibrating monitoring systems in studio control rooms. Of course, you can also modify the target curve to suit your needs.
Additionally, if you're using a subwoofer, the alignment process ensures optimal low-frequency harmony.
All resulting correction parameters are stored and processed in the monitor with DSP, so you no longer have to worry about plugin or driver issues, and no additional cables are required - once the alignment process is complete, an Ethernet connection is no longer needed.
The KH 750 DSP subwoofer also allows a stereo set of analog KH monitor speakers to be used with the Monitor Auto-Adjust software. The KH 750 DSP has enough processing power to align the entire system, including two analog speakers connected to its outputs. In addition, KH 120, KH 310, and KH 420 monitor speakers benefit from the phase linearization of the built-in crossover filters. The result is improved clarity, dry bass, and a more time-accurate depiction of reverb and acoustic space.
