★Next-generation interface

Aurora(n) is a next-generation mastering-grade A/DD/A converter that was a complete redesign of the groundbreaking Aurora. Building on the foundation of the original model, it offers even greater quality and functionality.

Key features of the Aurora(n) series: ・24-bit/192kHz mastering-grade A/DD/A conversion ・A wide range of options to suit your scale and budget - 8/16/24/32 channels (1U size)
Modular expansion system - Optional modules include Digital (AES/EBU), Preamp, and Analog Summing. 1-in/3-out word clock with Lynx's second-generation SynchroLock 2 technology. Future-proof LSlot interface design - supports Pro Tools® | HD, Thunderbolt, Dante, and USB connectivity. Built-in microSD recorder - supports up to 32 channels of direct recording and playback. Two audiophile-grade headphone outputs with independent volume control. Windows and macOS compatible. Rugged rackmount chassis. Designed and manufactured in Southern California, USA.

■Details◎The Importance of TransparencyFor a natural and pristine mix, signal coloration is merely an unnecessary element.Did you know that the breadth, clarity, and description essential for a transparent mix can never be provided by converters that cannot avoid coloration and distortion?Lynx Studio Technology's proven transparent sound has led their converters to be used in top recording facilities and various audio applications around the world.

Loved by audio engineers and producers seeking pristine recordings and mixes, Lynx converters, without adding unnatural coloration, are used in Dolby's new audio research facility, Skywalker Sound, NRP, and the Smithsonian Institute. Aurora(n) takes this to the next level, with even greater precision than ever before, eliminating even the slightest hint of coloration or degradation of the signal.

Discrete Converter Design: Some manufacturers combine multiple converters onto a single chip. This has the advantage of allowing more converter channels to be accommodated in a single rack space, reducing cost, but inevitably compromising performance. Lynx designs each channel's analog signal path as a separate, shielded circuit - meaning each channel pair has its own dedicated converter. This design offers many audio advantages, including significantly reduced crosstalk and distortion while improving dynamic range and performance.

◎Hilo Converter Technology (HCT)
The Aurora(n) incorporates the design and technology gained through the development of Hilo, achieving the same incredible performance as Hilo, which is popular not only in professional audio but also in the high-fidelity audio field, while achieving superior specifications and transparency that far surpass those of its predecessor.

◎ Future-proof design ・Adding channels - Adding LM-AIO8 analog line modules allows for expansion up to 32 channels by adding 8 analog line inputs and outputs. ・Adding modules - Options include the LM-DIG digital module, LM-PRE4 mic preamp module, and an analog summing module that will be released in the future. ・Supports various connection methods - Pro Tools | HD, Thunderbolt, Dante, and USB connections via LSlot interface. ・As with Hilo and Aurora (silver model), additional features and improvements can be made via firmware updates.

* After purchasing the Aurora(n), any changes or additions to modules or Lslot interfaces will be handled by a distributor at an additional cost (you cannot do this yourself).

◎SynchroLock 2
Newly designed high-performance sample clock technology, SynchroLock 2, provides an astounding 300,000:1 jitter reduction, 5-second lock time, and extremely high accuracy.

It has one word clock input and three outputs via BNC connectors, making it ideal as a master clock in small systems.

*Depending on the module configuration, there may be one word clock input/output.
