Description

A new beginning for Headway

Founded in 1977 and with a history spanning over 45 years, Headway released the "All-New Headway" in 2023, with the hope of taking flight into a new era.

While following the style of Headway's flagship model, the HD-115, the Aska Team Build craftsmen have completely revised the specifications and specifications, and the Eagle was developed from scratch in collaboration with Headway founder Yasuo Momose. Based on the "Eagle" concept, which has been the trademark of previous Headway models, the design has been brushed up and, inspired by the eagle, the king of the sky, the Headway logo on the head incorporates a new crown-shaped design. Momose himself has a special feeling for The Eagle, which was reconstructed by his beloved disciples, whom he trained as a craftsman for his entire life.

Headway The Eagle has finally made its appearance in the Standard Series.

■ Playability and sound backed by technology. New bracing heralds a new beginning.
Based on the standard bracing used by Mr. Momose at the time of Headway's founding, custom builders Mr. Yasui and Mr. Furuhata have redesigned the instrument with modern touches, incorporating the "Mid Point Shifted X Bracing" for the first time. Additionally, the "Shallow Scalloped" bracing, which features shallower bracing than normal, has previously only been used on Mr. Momose's Custom Shop models, but now it's being introduced for the first time on The Eagle. The Eagle boasts a well-balanced sound that combines crisp, clear tone with a low-pitched resonance, all wrapped up in overtones, while remaining true to the Headway sound to date, and also hints at new possibilities for the brand. The Type F body shape on this model is commonly referred to as a folk (000) style, characterized by its delicate sound. Combined with the new bracing, it produces a rich, clear sound.

■ The Eagle's iconic design - Crown logo and head inlay The brand logo was inspired by the Eagle, the king of the sky, and the ``Headway crown logo'', which represents a crown, shines brilliantly.

The inlay is a re-imagining of the "Eagle," a symbolic motif used by Headway since its founding. It depicts a scene of an eagle spreading its wings wide and soaring into the sky, evoking the image of flight into a new era.

The fingerboard inlay features an eagle feather fluttering down. Eagle feathers are said to show the way forward and to help you soar into the future, so this design represents a new beginning for Headway and all those who own this instrument.
