Description

Used Yamaha FG series guitar

Even now, more than 50 years after Yamaha's first domestically produced folk guitars, the FG180 and FG150, were released in 1966, the FG/FS series remains extremely popular, especially among beginners.

This FG-300D model was manufactured in 1983 and features a top made of Japanese spruce and back and sides made of American walnut. The walnut, which has properties similar to rosewood, produces a well-balanced sound with a lively tone and good attack. The neck is made of nato wood and the fingerboard is made of palisandre. Palisandre is a wood that is not commonly heard in Yamaha products these days, but it was frequently used in older Yamaha models and was used until the mid-1990s.
The sound of the guitar itself is nicely mellow, and the neck is slightly thicker than the current model, giving it a solid, expansive sound.

Being a 40-year-old guitar, it shows signs of use such as dents and a cloudy finish. However, because it is an old guitar, the string height is high by design, so the neck has been reset and adjusted at the repair workshop, and there is still plenty of fret left, so it is still in good condition and ready to play.
Please note that even if we reset the neck, due to design reasons we are unable to set it as low as other manufacturers.

*Comes with a hard case from another company. This is a guitar that lets you experience the classic Yamaha sound!
