The Metal NX model offers more than sleek looks and incredibly smooth playability: Behind its futuristic exterior lies a tone machine crafted from the finest tonewoods, delivering the organic, woody, and blistering high-gain sound most sought after in today's metal scene.
The chambered basswood complements the maple top for a full-bodied midrange and deep, tight low end, while the roasted maple neck and ebonol fingerboard add a crisp, edgy sparkle that stands out in a dense mix.
Crafted from aircraft-grade aluminum, the freestanding bridge pieces play a key role in creating Boden's signature acoustic sound: clear, organic, and evenly balanced, yet with precise and immediate response to picking. The new Rev 7 hardware bridge features self-locking mechanisms on each piece, improving durability and vibration transmission, as well as speeding string changes and action adjustments. The unique hardware, combined with the basswood and maple woods and Richlite fingerboard, produces a rich, woody sound that's simultaneously tight and punchy, with incredible response to every subtle and delicate touch. Players will discover hidden influences in their playing that they've never felt before, further shaping their unique playing style.
Featuring Fishman active pickups—a Fluence Modern Ceramic in the bridge position and a Fluence Modern Alnico in the neck position—these pickups add powerful weight to the guitar's natural acoustic character and output to your favorite guitar amp or system. The Fishman pickups also feature single-coil and voice 1/2 modes, providing tonal flexibility to suit virtually any musical genre and playing style.
