Description

1933 L-00 Ebony Light Aged

The Ideal Small Bodied Acoustic With A Balanced Sound And Vintage Looks

The L-00 is one of Gibson's flagship models. Developed in the early 1930s, the L-00 has been a standard in the acoustic guitar world for many years and continues to be a favorite among many guitarists today.

The L-00 is characterized by two things: its unparalleled sound transmission, unlike other small-bodied guitars of similar size, and its distinctive tone, which Gibson described as having "perfect balance" in their 1934 catalog. The 1933 L-00 firmly embodies the advantages of an acoustic guitar. While possessing the rich and full sound that is characteristic of Gibson, it will become a companion for many guitarists as an easy-to-handle acoustic guitar that is comfortable to play at home.

The 1933 L-00 Light Aged features a light aged finish crafted by skilled luthiers at Murphy Labs. Murphy Labs' light aged finish, along with aged hardware, recreates the look and feel of a vintage guitar that has been played by guitarists for decades. The result is a finish that captures the unique character, atmosphere, and feel of the original Gibson models from its golden age.

~ Murphy Lab ~

Murphy Lab specializes in guitar aging (a process that recreates the aged appearance and playability of vintage guitars) using the latest technology based on scientific verification.

Tom Murphy, a founding member of the Gibson Custom Shop and project leader for the Historic Collection, has since made a name for himself with aging techniques that bring the look and feel of vintage guitars to new instruments. Backed by Tom's passion for vintage guitars and deep knowledge, his skills beautifully recreate the natural lacquer cracks and wear from playing on Gibson guitars.
