Description
The allure and legend of the Gibson J-45™ are carried on in the new "Murphy Lab 1942 Banner J-45." Inspired by the masterpieces of vintage acoustic Gibson guitars, the luthiers at the Montana factory have meticulously developed this guitar based on the most highly regarded vintage J-45s, both in terms of construction and materials.

The "Murphy Lab 1942 Banner J-45" ​​boasts a number of luxurious features, including a thermally aged Adirondack red spruce top hand-sprayed in historic-style burst color, hide glued body top bracing for better resonance and response, and a bone nut and bone saddle.

The newly released "1942 Banner J-45 Heavy Aged" features a heavy aged finish crafted by skilled luthiers at Murphy Labs. Murphy Labs' heavy aged finish, along with aged hardware, recreates the look and feel of a vintage guitar that has been played by guitarists for decades. The result is a finish that fully captures the sound character, texture, and feel unique to Gibson's golden age original models. From the deep weather checking of the finish to the marks from the player's belt buckle and the wear on the body edges and back of the neck where the player's arm would come into contact, every detail exudes the feel of a vintage guitar.
