The Advanced Jumbo, pursuing a vintage feel!

Finally, Gibson Acoustic's Custom Shop has released the "Historic Reissue Collection" series, which embodies the ultimate in vintage style, and among them is the highly popular Advanced Jumbo!

Among vintage Gibson acoustics, the Advanced Jumbo was only produced for a short period in the late 1930s before the war. However, its well-balanced and highly refined sound has made it popular among Gibson acoustic fans, and it is also famous as a rare and valuable model.

Due to its excellent sound and popularity, Gibson has reissued this model in various styles in the past. This time, however, it follows in the footsteps of the previous Historic Collection and Legend Series, and features specifications that pursue a vintage style in both sound and appearance.

This guitar features a top made of superb thermally aged Adirondack spruce, a material highly regarded in recent J-45 Vintage and Legend models. The dark sunburst finish, reminiscent of pre-war Gibsons, and the extremely thin paintwork create a vintage feel.

In terms of looks, it has a vintage feel with its distinctive inlays and firestripe pickguard, small rectangular bridge, and script logo on the headstock, which are characteristic of the Advanced Jumbo. It also looks like a more luxurious version of the round-shouldered J-45, but because it has rosewood sides and back and a 25 1/2-inch scale length, which is unusual for Gibson round-shouldered guitars, it has a unique tone that is unlike any other, not just in appearance.

The neck grip has a slightly thick, vintage-style feel with a nut width of approximately 43.81mm. This thick neck, combined with a construction that prioritizes resonance, produces a deep, resonant sound with a wide range, richness, and a strong sustain.
As you can see, this Advanced Jumbo vintage reissue is meticulously crafted down to the smallest detail, and I believe it will more than satisfy Gibson acoustic fans in terms of both sound and looks.
