…………………………………………………………………………………
This instrument boasts an exceptionally luxurious all-solid wood construction, featuring a solid Adirondack spruce top and solid Madagascar rosewood sides and back. Its meticulous craftsmanship, characteristic of Furch, and the rich sound produced by carefully selected tonewoods make it a truly captivating instrument.
The body is an OM (Orchestra Model) size with a cutaway. It's not as large as a dreadnought, making it a comfortable size to hold, while still offering ample volume and range. The 14-fret joint and cutaway design provide excellent access to the higher positions. It's suitable for a wide range of playing styles, from fingerstyle to chord strumming.
The Adirondack spruce used for the top is appealing for its powerful response and excellent dynamics. It responds well to variations in picking strength, and when played firmly, you can enjoy a rich volume and powerful sound.
The sides and back are made of Madagascar rosewood. It possesses the deep bass and extended treble characteristic of rosewood, producing a thick, dense sound despite its OM size. Combined with Adirondack spruce, it delivers a sound that combines a clear tonal image with rich harmonics.
The bracing uses scalloped X-bracing. This structure allows the top to vibrate more easily, making it responsive to light touches and producing a rich tone.
Another appealing feature of this instrument is its ELITE specifications, which set it apart from the standard 23 series. It features elegant decorations that make the most of the wood's texture, such as maple binding, abalone rosette, and Schaller tuners with ebony buttons.
This particular guitar features a nut width of 43mm, which is narrower than typical Furch specifications. While suitable for fingerstyle playing, it's also a comfortable size for chord playing with a firm grip on the neck.
If you're looking for a guitar with specifications that are hard to find in current models, or if you want to enjoy the rich harmonics and responsiveness that are characteristic of Furch guitars, then this is a guitar you should definitely try.
