/// The digital saxophone, which has been incredibly popular since its release, has been revamped with added tones and revised connection terminals! ///

The digital saxophone is a new instrument that fuses acoustic and digital technology and design.

The saxophone is loud, making it difficult to find a place to practice, and it takes time to be able to produce a sound, so there were many hurdles to overcome when trying it out.
The digital saxophone is a new instrument developed to overcome those drawbacks.
The Low-Hard saxophone retains the profound depth of saxophone playing while making the instrument more accessible and user-friendly.
This saxophone retains its rich tone while achieving quiet operation. With 15 levels of volume adjustment, you can enjoy playing without worrying about the volume, even at home or at night. Connecting headphones allows you to concentrate on your performance without disturbing others.

[Changes from the previous model YDS-150]

In addition to the existing 73 saxophone-type and synth-type sounds, 16 new wind, string, and percussion instrument sounds have been added, bringing the total to 89 types. You can now enjoy playing a wide range of musical genres.

〇 Newly added tones (16 types)

String instruments: violin, cello, acoustic bass Woodwind instruments: piccolo, flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon Brass instruments: trumpet, trumpet (mute), flugelhorn, trombone, horn, euphonium, tuba Percussion instruments: timpani

- The USB TO HOST connector has been changed from the conventional Micro USB Type-B to Micro USB Type-C.

■ Free volume adjustment

With 15 levels of adjustable volume, you can play without disturbing others by using headphones, or connect it to speakers for stage performances. Additionally, volume can be adjusted via Bluetooth using the dedicated "YDS Controller" app.

■Same key arrangement as an acoustic saxophone

The key layout, crucial for the instrument's playability and touch, is based on Yamaha's acoustic saxophone design, resulting in a natural and smooth key touch. It can be used without any problems by those familiar with saxophone fingerings, as well as those just starting out.
Furthermore, you can customize it to your liking by changing the fingerings using the dedicated app.

■ Bell-integrated acoustic sound system

It features a yellow brass bell made from the same material as Yamaha's acoustic saxophones. Designed using Yamaha's expertise in acoustic instrument manufacturing, the bell beautifully expresses the reverberation characteristic of wind instruments as well as the delicate tones of pianissimo.

■ High-quality saxophone sound source sampled from the tones of professional players

While typical electronic instruments record several notes within an octave and synthesize them to create a scale, the digital saxophone uses the latest Yamaha model to faithfully sample every note played by a professional musician using various techniques, creating a natural and harmonious sound.
Featuring 56 saxophone sounds ranging from soprano to baritone, this digital saxophone allows you to enjoy a variety of saxophone tones with just one instrument.

■Ease of blowing

The digital saxophone comes with a dedicated mouthpiece, a special resin reed, and a ligature, all equivalent to those of an acoustic alto saxophone. While it looks exactly like a saxophone mouthpiece, it has a special design that allows anyone to easily produce sound like a recorder simply by putting it in their mouth and blowing into it, without having to worry about their embouchure.
The built-in breath sensor and exhaust tube detect the pressure when you blow, creating a realistic resistance that is characteristic of acoustic wind instruments, allowing you to experience a saxophone-like playing feel.
