"A snare drum that suits your style." Every drummer embarks on a long journey in search of that one perfect drum. The SLP Sound Lab Project was created to serve as a guidepost for such drummers. Not only does it offer a wide range of shell materials, but it also features shells crafted with meticulous attention to detail, down to the millimeter in shell thickness. Furthermore, to maximize its potential, it incorporates newly developed hoops and tubular lugs in addition to existing parts. This all-genre snare series offers a wide variety of sounds created by combining these elements, all under one umbrella.

The SLPMod Bubinga is a 12'' snare drum that opens up new sonic possibilities by fusing a bright, edgy sound with a fat, resonant tone.

In addition to the bright, sharp projection and delicate articulation characteristic of small-diameter drums, it boasts a unique sound that combines a wide tonal range and a fat resonance previously unattainable with 12-inch snare drums.
The key lies in the combination of its unique 12'' x 7'' size, bubinga shell, and inwardly curved sound arc hoop.

While retaining the prominent high-frequency pitch that one might expect from a 12'' diameter, the bubinga shell, characterized by its rich mid-low frequencies, is set to a depth of 7'', thereby achieving the fat shell resonance that is often lost in smaller diameters.
The hoops utilize a sound arc hoop, which has the effect of unifying the attack of the sound and making the contours clearer.
It produces a clear attack when hitting rimshots, and even with intricate phrases like ghost notes, each note remains distinct and doesn't scatter, resulting in a solid sound image.

With a wide tuning range, it's possible to obtain a wide range of sounds, from high to low frequencies, while maintaining the natural sound characteristic of acoustic drums, through tuning.
Even when tuned to a low pitch, the tension of the drumhead doesn't become too loose, so even small notes don't get lost in the mix, resulting in a cohesive, fat sound.

In addition to the bright, sharp sound and delicate clarity unique to 12-inch records, this new sound combines a wide frequency range and a fat resonance that was previously unattainable with 12-inch records. The resulting sound, which incorporates elements from various musical genres such as jazz, hip-hop, and electronic music, is a suitable new option for players who continue to challenge themselves with new forms of musical expression.
The boundless expressive power hidden within its small size stimulates the player's senses and opens up a new world of expression.
