Gibson has long reigned as a top brand.
The ever-popular Les Paul Classic Plus is now available as a recommended player's condition used item!
This is an early 1992 model with "Les Paul MODEL" written on the silkscreen on the headstock!
This guitar boasts a beautiful, atmospheric wood grain and a stylish Vintage Sunburst finish!
The original Les Paul Model was released in 1952, and even now, more than 60 years later, the Gibson Les Paul series remains immensely popular as a standard in electric guitars.
This is a Les Paul Classic, which was as popular as the Les Paul Standard in the 1990s. In addition to the Les Paul Classic with a plain maple top, there were also models with figured maple tops in the lineup, but this is the mid-range Les Paul Classic Plus. The bottom of the word "PLUS" is faded on the rear pickup cavity, but based on the wood grain and the way it is written, we have determined that it reads "CLASSIC PLUS". The body is made of tightly grained mahogany, typical of this period, and the top is laminated with maple that has a subtle yet beautiful flame pattern, characteristic of the Classic Plus. It has a different feel from the Historic series, which used wood with a more undulating texture. The pickguard is marked "1960". The weight of this instrument is approximately 4.31 kg, and it has a balance that produces the resonance and tone characteristic of a Les Paul.
The neck is a slim taper neck, thinner than the Les Paul Standard of that era, making it easy to grip. Furthermore, the slightly flattened top of the back of the neck makes it more comfortable for those who frequently use a classic-style grip.
The distinctive thin-grip neck offers excellent playability, making it ideal for those who dislike thicker necks or prefer technical playing styles. The slender neck produces a bright, edgy resonance that's not too thick, making it easy to blend into a band sound! It's a high-quality instrument that combines excellent playability with a powerful tone!
As mentioned earlier, this guitar was manufactured in 1992, so the silkscreen print on the headstock reads "Les Paul MODEL".
The fretboard is made of rosewood with binding, and the inlays are made of a slightly greenish material. Along with the small headstock, this is a feature unique to the Classic series and not found in the Standard series of that time.
This particular unit has several modifications to the pickup area, electrical system, and other parts.
First, the original pickups were a 500T in the rear position and a 496R in the front, but it is suspected that these have been replaced with a Burst Bucker 1 in the front and a Burst Bucker 2 in the rear.
The escutcheon has also been replaced with a historic type. The tailpiece is also a non-original die-cast one.
The volume pots for the front and rear pickups were also replaced with CTS pots. The capacitors were also replaced with Black Beauty (.047mf 200V) capacitors.
The toggle switch cap has also been replaced. The jack plate has also been replaced with a metal one.
Original pickups and parts are not included.
We've just received a recommended player's condition used item! It's a 1992 model.
Although difficult to see in photos, the overall paintwork has a subtle cracking that gives it a great character! There are also some minor scratches, dents, noticeable buckle marks on the back of the body, paint discoloration, paint peeling, paint dullness, scratches on the back of the neck, and cracks throughout the fret area of the neck binding, but none of these affect playability. It shows signs of use, but it's a guitar with a great atmosphere! It has been played a lot, so the body and neck resonate wonderfully! This is the kind of guitar that can be put to use right away! We have performed a full maintenance and cleaning at our shop, so it is ready to use immediately. There are quite a few scratches and dents, but it is a highly recommended used guitar with plenty of character! There is a crack in the screw area above the pickguard, but it is currently fixed in place.
The frets have been leveled. However, the fret height is very low, with approximately 20% remaining. Currently, the fret tops are aligned, so it is playable, but further leveling will be difficult on this particular guitar. The next time, it will need to be refretted at a professional repair shop. The nut is also fine for current use. The truss rod can be adjusted normally without any problems.
This guitar will be sold in its current condition, including the neck area. There is no warranty.
As mentioned earlier, there are some modifications to the electrical system, but we have performed a full check, so there are no issues or problems with its current operation.
The only included accessory is the original brown hard case (with dial lock). There is some rust and tarnish on the metal parts, but it does not affect transportation at this time.
Don't miss this opportunity!
