A StingRay signature model for world-renowned bassist Pino Palladino has arrived.

The Pino Palladino Signature StingRay Bass captures the iconic tone and playability of one of the most influential bassists in history, Pino Palladino. Inspired by his original 1979 fretless StingRay, this signature model is available in both fretted and fretless versions, both faithfully recreating his unique tone and playability.

This bass features a poplar body with a '79 Burst finish, a dark tinted maple neck with a thin rosewood fingerboard, and a unique asymmetrical neck curve that reflects the shape of the artist's original bass. The neck gradually changes from a powerful V-shape towards the bass side to a rounded C-shape towards the treble side, resulting in a more precise playing experience at your fingertips.

The pickups were designed specifically for this instrument based on a late 70s recipe and feature shorter pole pieces. They harmonize perfectly with the preamp, which has been voiced to reproduce the warmth and character of a well-established circuit. The 2EQ preamp is a hand-soldered circuit board with components that accurately reproduce the original specifications and CTS pots (500K treble pots instead of the same 1M pots used by the artist), and has been tuned to reproduce the tone of the preamp that the artist played through.

The bridge saddle is made of brass, and the nut is made of Nubone. The Graphtec Nubone nut, carefully hand-shaped with a width of 1.686 (42.8 mm), replicates his own modifications, enhancing tone, volume, and harmonics. The materials, electronics, and hardware work together in perfect harmony to create his iconic tone.
The strings used are "Pino Signature Smoothie Flats" for the fretted models, which deliver a rich and powerful tone, and "Ernie Ball Slinky Nickel Wound," a custom gauge string that provides smooth and expressive slides, for the fretless models.

Many products are stocked across Ikebe stores in Japan. As a result, shipment may take several days. In-store sales may also cause items to sell out. If an item is unavailable, we will contact you promptly; in that case, the order will be canceled and any payment will be refunded.

■ Shipping

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.
