                      Descripción
The water, soil and air of Japanese forests that create the beautiful four seasons, the trees nurtured by Japanese forests, being grateful to the earth and living in harmony with nature, and taking time to enjoy music - these are the things we at Maurice Guitar value.
The concept is for Japanese craftsmen to use Japanese wood to create works with a Japanese theme.
It is an instrument that allows you to feel the beauty of the Japanese landscape, and by feeling that beauty, it is our hope that the sound, music, and life of the player will be enriched even more.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Maurice has a long history as a domestic manufacturer and has a wide range of fans, from legendary musicians to amateurs.
The guitars, crafted by skilled craftsmen at our factory in Nagano Prefecture, boast incredible cost performance and offer a wide lineup ranging from folk style to fingerstyle.
This instrument, the "S-JF SEN," is a special model made by the "Japan Forest Project," which uses rare materials from Japan, and is made to the specifications of the S series, a classic fingerstyle instrument from the past.
The top is made of local cedar from Miyazaki Prefecture, and the sides and back are made of sandalwood from Miyazaki Prefecture.
・Jisugi (local cedar) is a type of cedar grown in Japan that has been used for construction since ancient times. It is widely used in buildings due to its high durability and low warping.
It has a tone similar to cedar wood, with a soft mid-to-high range and a nice cushioning feel.
・Sandalwood has been called "Afuchi" since ancient times, and its name appears in classical literature such as the "Manyoshu" and "Makura no Soshi."
It is light yet has just the right amount of hardness and flexibility, and is characterized by a tone that combines a soft and delicate mid-to-high range with rich harmonic components.
The S Series is characterized by a long scale that provides exceptionally stable pitch even when drop-tuned, Gotoh peg tuners, a 44mm wide nut that prevents fingers from getting clogged and provides excellent playability even with precise fingering, and an ultra-thin neck shape. The S Series is packed with specifications that meet the detailed demands of fingerstyle guitarists.
The tone is characterized by the gentle mid-low range and soft landing that are unique to Japanese wood.
The warm mid-low range tone and the bright yet sweet high strings are well suited to fingerstyle playing, and are suitable for both gentle ballads and stroke playing.
This is a conceptual piece that conveys the beauty of Japanese nature and the delicacy of handcraftsmanship.
Please try experiencing the "Wabi-Sabi" that this model possesses.
