FAQ

Descripción

We have received a used item of a classic Ovation model with a defect.

Regarding the condition of this instrument, there is a large paint chip on the exterior near the 6th string on the body.
There are also small scratches and dents throughout the item, giving it the typical used feel of a second-hand item.
There is also wear from the strings near the low frets, with the threads worn down to about 7/8 of the original length.
There is peeling between the end of the fingerboard and the body, and there is a gap on the back of the fingerboard up to around the 15th fret.

There is currently no sign of fret wear or fingerboard peeling, causing any choking or buzzing, so the guitar will be sold as is.

Since it is equipped with an OP24 preamp, it is believed to be a model produced before 1995. The Elite 1868-1 is a super shallow model, a popular Elite with a distinctive epaulette sound hole.
The Ovation 1868, which was popular during this period, featured an elite epaulette-type sound hole and a thin, super-shallow body, making it particularly popular among players switching from electric guitars or for use in rock bands. The super-shallow body fits the body well, providing a sense of balance and comfort, making it a model that many fans associate with the Ovation style. Even when played unaided, it produces a powerful, crisp sound, and the preamp is the classic OP-24, making it the most "Ovation-esque" sound of the period.

This is a guitar that I would recommend to players who have the opportunity to perform live.
