The ever-evolving Akamatsu Guitar Project
The Akamatsu Guitar Project is a project to turn fallen or felled Akamatsu trees into guitars. At the 2025 trade fair, a new Akamatsu guitar was completed, which returns to the original model but adds a new essence to it.

◆Akamatsu guitar with a completely redesigned design While retaining the German curve of the body periphery that was the trademark of the first Akamatsu guitar, it has a retro look that makes it seem like it was discovered decades ago in an old garage. The name CONTINENTAL, which means "continent," was chosen in reference to its distinctive body shape.

◆Aging that brings out the individuality The knots and stains of the red pine are seen as unique features, and the body, headstock, and metal parts have been aged to blend in with the overall design.

Modernized, practical specifications: Contrary to its appearance, the controls and specifications have been updated for modern use. We aimed for a player-oriented design that is intended for actual use on stage.

The neck is made of Indian rosewood, a classic material for fingerboards. The binding on the side of the fingerboard and smaller-than-usual dot position marks create a sophisticated design.

◆Bacchus STP-1
This guitar is equipped with Bacchus' original P-90 type "STP-1" pickup. The wide-turn pickup's distinctive sharpness and depth at the neck position combine to create a tone that's both crisp and deep, while the dry, chunky tone at the bridge position provides high versatility and expressiveness. This pickup is a perfect match for the red pine body, which is known for its light sound.

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.
