Developed while inheriting the features of the popular Yamaha 9500 Series foot pedals, this model is the flagship model of Yamaha System Drums foot pedals, pursuing maximum performance, diverse adjustment functions, stability, and durability.
By precisely machining each component and assembling them with high precision, smooth playing performance is achieved. Furthermore, numerous adjustment mechanisms are incorporated, allowing for more detailed settings, including the footboard, beater angle, cam shape for operability, and spring tension to adjust the feel of the foot pedal—all aspects that drummers are particularly particular about. It is easy to set up the drum to the drummer's preference.
The wide, long footboard with its glossy, mirror-like finish and the ball-bearing moving parts with their blue finish exude a sense of luxury befitting a flagship model.
With its precise specifications that support players and innovative looks, enabling optimal settings for various playing styles, the FP9 is Yamaha's top-of-the-line foot pedal that provides maximum support for performance. It's a lineup that further expands the possibilities for drummers.


The "Double Chain Drive" features a natural and smooth pedal action. The cam section through which the double chain passes can be adjusted in three stages, allowing you to select your preferred cam position and achieve the optimal pedal action for your playing style. Furthermore, by switching to the included belt drive parts, you can choose your preferred feel between the chain and belt drive.

[Main Features]
■Quick Adjusting Cam/Link for Chain Drive: The double chain drive applies even tension with each pedal stroke. By changing the cam to C1, C2, or C3 (see image), you can adjust the setting to lighten the initial pedal action.

■High-Precision Split Frame Structure: High-precision machined blue parts are used as the ball bearing insertion parts. By combining these blue parts with a frame that has undergone planar machining, the blue parts containing the ball bearings are positioned with high precision. By positioning the rocker shaft precisely and straight, play in the ball bearings is prevented, ensuring smooth operation. Thorough pursuit of precision in every detail enables smoother rotation of the ball bearings and rocker shaft. It responds accurately to various foot pedal techniques, providing strong support for the drummer's performance.

■ Auto-Lock Spring Tension: By positioning the spring tension adjustment mechanism upwards, drummers can easily adjust the spring tension while seated on a stool. The adjustment knob locks every 90 degrees of rotation to prevent loosening during performance. Additionally, the adjustment mechanism swings, allowing for more natural spring expansion and contraction.

■ Original Beater / Dedicated Weight
The FP9's original beater allows for the attachment of a dedicated weight to the bottom of the beater. Attaching the included brass (9g) weight expands the range of sound shaping and playing possibilities.

■High-precision, low-position heel structure / Heel spikes: The design features a low heel position. The hinge area is fitted with a high-precision machined cover (blue part) to improve the stability of the footboard, enabling smooth pedal work.
Additionally, spikes have been added to the heel of the footboard. This prevents the foot pedal from slipping during performance, further enhancing stability and operability.

■Ball bearings in the drive connection: Ball bearings are installed in the part of the footboard that connects to the drive, resulting in even smoother playability.

■Footboard / Beater Angle Adjustment: The footboard and beater angle adjustment sections are designed independently, allowing for free angle setting. Additionally, memory lines are included for easy angle confirmation, making it simple to reproduce your preferred settings at any time.

■ Ball bearing equipped - Universal joint: Ball bearings are installed in the moving parts. By incorporating smoothly rotating bearings, the pedal action and operability of the sub-pedal have been dramatically improved.

■Sub-Pedal Anchor The sub-pedal features spikes on the front. This further improves stability and operability by preventing slippage during performance.

■Belt Drive Parts: Belt drive parts are included, allowing you to select your preferred drive system, either chain or belt.

■ Carrying case
All FP9 models come with a dedicated compact semi-hard case.

Items with “USED” in the product name are pre-owned and will be delivered as shown in the photos. Signs of wear may be present. All items are function-tested by our staff and rechecked before dispatch.

Many products are stocked across Ikebe stores in Japan. As a result, shipment may take several days. In-store sales may also cause items to sell out. If an item is unavailable, we will contact you promptly; in that case, the order will be canceled and any payment will be refunded.

■ Shipping

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.
