Description
The ever-popular Eric Clapton signature model has arrived in player's condition as a pre-owned item!
Featuring captivating Lace Sensor Gold pickups reminiscent of Eric's golden 90s! An essential specification for achieving that legendary 90s tone!
This is a 2001 model. It's available in the timeless classic color, Blackie!
We have received a player's condition used Eric Clapton signature model guitar that can be used in a variety of genres! The specifications include the legendary Lace Sensor Gold pickups that built Eric's golden 90s playing, and the TBX control which is essential for the legendary tone of the 90s! Combined with the active mid-boost circuit installed to create a fatter sound, this guitar has a versatile and easy-to-use tone while being based on the basic Stratocaster sound.
While the bluesy sound of the noiseless pickups that have supported his playing in recent years is certainly great, the crisp tone that the Lace Sensor pickups provide is also fantastic!
Personally, I can still vividly remember the rich yet sharp, superb tone produced by the Clapton model guitar with Lace Sensor pickups, a Soldano amp, and Pete Cornish's system, which I heard at that legendary Tokyo Dome concert in 1991 with his close friend George Harrison!
The Lace Sensor pickups delivered a superb tone that perfectly complemented the latest modern equipment of the time!
Normally, it's difficult to hear a truly great guitar tone in a large venue like the Tokyo Dome, but this god-like musician played a tone with such overwhelming presence that it completely disregarded the size of the venue!
The Eric Clapton Stratocaster is a popular model known for its vintage-like looks and sound, which features a mid-boost.
The wood materials consist of an alder body and a one-piece maple neck. The neck shape is a slim V-shape, characteristic of Clapton models, making it easy to grip and play. The fingerboard radius is a shallow 9.5R, and it uses thin, vintage-style frets. The shallow radius allows for a low string action, and the 22 frets make it suitable for a wide range of musical styles.
The bridge uses a vintage-style 6-point synchronized tremolo. From the time of arrival, a piece of wood is sandwiched between the five springs to secure the bridge. You can enjoy a tight sound and tone. By removing the piece of wood and changing the springs to the basic Stratocaster specification of 3, you can use the tremolo arm like a regular Stratocaster.
The EC model is a superb guitar that can be used by anyone, not just his fans.
The legendary Eric Clapton, who will turn 80 in 2025! We were so happy to see him looking so energetic at his Budokan concert in April 2025! The 80-year-old god certainly showed signs of aging, but instead of resisting it, he faced his 80-year-old self head-on, enjoying the music and the interaction with the audience, and gave us a wonderful live performance! He played in a relaxed manner, but when he switched into performance mode, his mature technique reminded us once again that this man is indeed a legendary guitarist who deserves to be called a god!
And what's truly amazing is that he sings, plays guitar, performs guitar solos, and yet, with only a wah pedal at his feet, he manages to pull off such an incredible feat of playing and singing on stage for days on end at a venue the size of the Budokan—it's truly a divine feat!
What's even more amazing is their pedalboard! These days, it's commonplace for guitarists to have fortress-like effect boards filled with countless effects pedals, which they use to add color to their solos and backing tracks.
It's quite difficult to sustain a song without effects pedals, and even the three great guitarists who were Eric's contemporaries utilize effects pedals to some extent.
Amidst all this, Eric Clapton's sound is truly remarkable, as he primarily uses only the mid-boost on his Stratocaster! He only occasionally uses a wah pedal! He might occasionally use a Leslie speaker, but that's about it.
And she does all that while also being the main vocalist, so that's amazing!!
We've just received a recommended player's condition used guitar! It's a 2001 model.
The previous owner apparently noticed a gap in the pickguard due to deformation over time, which occurs with single-ply pickguards, so they added an extra hole on the left side and screwed it in place. There are currently no issues with playability.
While there are some minor scratches and dents, noticeable pick scratches, discoloration on the pickguard and back panel, dirt on the pickguard, tarnishing of parts, and discoloration of the lettering on the pickup covers, this guitar has undergone a full maintenance at our shop and is in recommended condition, ready to play immediately. Although there are many scratches and dents, this is a highly recommended used guitar with plenty of character!
The frets have been leveled. They are a little low, but are usable as is. Approximately 45% of the frets remain.
The nuts are in good working order and function normally. The truss rods also function correctly for normal adjustments.
There are scratches and dents on the 7th fret of the fretboard, but this does not affect playability.
The electrical system has also been fully checked, so there are no problems with its operation.
The weight is approximately 3.74 kg. Clapton models tend to have a relatively solid weight, and this particular instrument also has a balanced weight that produces a solid, resonant sound.
Accessories include a brown hard case and a tremolo arm.
This is not the original tweed hard case. A key is not included.
This is a record that will awaken your blues spirit!
Don't miss it!!
