The Jazzmaster debuted in 1958. During its original release period until the late 1970s, it didn't enjoy consistently stable popularity or sales. However, advancements in replacement parts broadened its versatility, leading to a resurgence in popularity. Today, it's a guitar widely seen in professional settings and enjoys widespread popularity across all ages and genders as a practical instrument. It has truly become a major model in the guitar world.

This particular guitar was shipped in early 1964. Due to the superb quality of its materials, it is a rare find, and its numbers are decreasing year by year in the market.

【body】
The overall weight is approximately 3.8 kg. The body is made of alder. The three-tone sunburst color with a slightly strong reddish tint and the elegant tortoiseshell pickguard are beautiful. Although there is some paint peeling on the back of the body due to a belt buckle, paint peeling mainly on the sides of the body, age-related shrinkage of the pickguard, and some minor dents, the paint still has a good sheen and it is in remarkably good condition.

【neck】
The neck is made of maple. The fingerboard is made of beautiful round-laminated rosewood. The paint on the back of the neck is still in good condition with only slight discoloration. The clay dot position markers and high-quality fingerboard are eye-catching. The headstock decal is a spaghetti logo, and the headstock is in good condition with minimal discoloration. The tuners function properly, although there is some slight variation in the tightness of the winding. The frets and nut show little wear, and the playability is generally good. The headstock thickness is 14.7mm, and the nut width is 41.9mm. A relatively sturdy neck shape is used.

[Electrical System]
The controls consist of two sections, the familiar Jazzmaster configuration: a 3-way pickup selector, master volume, and master tone, and a neck (front) pickup preset mode switch, preset volume, and preset tone. A nice touch is the presence of two gray bobbin pickups, clearly dated 1964. The control components, including the pickups, remain in their original condition.

Featuring a wide and flat coil structure that provides a broad range, and a warm midrange thanks to the alder/rosewood combination, this pickup evokes the surf music and jazz scenes of the 1960s, offering a clean tone that is both solid and airy. The front pickup produces a sweet and full sound, the rear pickup a crisp and bright tone, and the mixed position creates a deep, three-dimensional sound. The preset circuit allows for instant switching to a dark and mellow tone, enabling versatile sound shaping to suit various songs and playing styles.
