Description

Recommended player-condition used item!
For many, this is the quintessential Les Paul Custom! We've just received a Gibson Custom Shop Historic Collection 1957 Les Paul Custom with an all-mahogany body, in recommended player's condition as a used item! Manufactured in 1999, this is a stunning ebony color that will ignite your rock spirit!

The guitar of choice for real men: the Les Paul Custom!
Standard just won't do! You can't get anywhere without a custom! The Les Paul Custom is a model so beloved that you can hear such passionate voices from custom guitar fans!

The legendary 1957 Les Paul Custom, with its striking looks, continues to captivate countless guitarists. It's becoming increasingly rare on the market. This time, we have a recommended used Historic Collection 1957 Les Paul Custom in stock! It's a 1999 model. 1999 is famous as a landmark year, marking the 40th anniversary of the 1959 Les Paul, and saw the Gibson Custom Shop Historic Collection 1959 Les Paul Standard undergo a historically significant minor change!

Many people would probably say this is the quintessential Les Paul Custom: the 1957 Les Paul Custom with its all-mahogany body.
Compared to the typical Les Paul specifications of a maple top and mahogany back, it has less attack, but thanks to the one-piece mahogany construction, it offers a tight, cohesive sound with a rich, clear, deep midrange and a deep resonance that you can truly enjoy!

The neck section features a mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard. Ebony fingerboards, now a rare material and trading at extremely high prices, produce a sharper and tighter sound than a standard LP, creating a masculine tone with good clarity even when the gain is turned up, without the sound becoming too muddy, as is typical for HM/HR! It's also popular among those who like to distort their sound with a hard edge. Grover tuners are selected.
The thick neck binding really gives it a 90s feel!

This guitar is equipped with a '57 Classic pickup. The '57 Classic is a pickup that Ginson developed in the 1990s with the aim of replicating the PAF sound, and it remains highly popular today, with musicians praising its ease of use. It was even the main pickup used in the 1959 Les Paul Standard from the 1990s to 2001!
It pairs well with hollow-body models, and was used in many Gibson hollow-body models from the 1990s to the 2010s, including the ES-335! It's a perfect match for this Les Paul Custom! You can enjoy a traditional sound with rich tone pressure and harmonics!

Nowadays, the jet-black ebony Les Paul Custom is strongly associated with female rock musicians, thanks to the "Bocchi the Rock!" phenomenon. However, in the Showa era, the 3-pickup Les Paul Custom used in the early days by legendary guitarists like Keith Richards and Jimmy Page, and the 2-pickup version, were considered sacred instruments of rock music used by the hardcore mentai rock musicians!
Led by Mr. Makoto Ayukawa, who could be called Mr. Les Paul Custom, along with other formidable players such as Hiroyuki Chigi of THE MODS and Nobuo Tani of TH eROCKERS, the guitar they played with great force was an ebony-colored Les Paul Custom!

However, as the era changed from Heisei to Reiwa, it's deeply moving to see how the black Les Paul Custom has come to be used by so many different people.

We've just received a recommended player's condition used item! It's a 1999 model.
While there are some minor scratches and dents throughout, uneven paint on the body top, noticeable scratches on the back of the body, overall paint discoloration and tarnishing, pick scratches on the pickguard, minor scratches on the back of the neck, and tarnishing on the gold hardware, it's a guitar with a great character! None of these affect playability. We have performed a full maintenance and cleaning at our shop, so it is a highly recommended guitar that you can use right away.

The frets have been leveled and the guitar is ready to use. Approximately 80% of the fret life remains. The nut is also in good working order. The truss rod can be adjusted normally without any problems.

The electrical system has also been fully checked, so there are no problems with its operation.
The weight is approximately 4.13 kg. While it's on the heavier side, the balance is such that it produces a solid, focused sound.

The only accessories included are the original black hard case and key. The certificate of authenticity and all other accessories are missing.

Don't miss this opportunity!
