Description
The Les Paul Custom, which debuted in 1954 as a Les Paul model for jazz musicians, boasted a luxurious look inherited from the high-end archtop guitars of the time. After many twists and turns, it has become a beloved instrument among rock musicians and remains an immensely popular guitar to this day.

This particular guitar, which we have in stock, appears to have been shipped around 1973, and it's an interesting piece that has been customized to resemble that famous guitar.

【body】
The total weight is approximately 4.8kg. The body is made of a maple top and a mahogany back with a pancake construction. As you can see, it has a distinctive look with a 3-pickup configuration including an added middle pickup, and cream-colored plastic parts and silver metal parts. There is some weather checking and dents commensurate with its age, paint peeling from a belt buckle on the back of the body, and tarnishing of the metal parts, but the gloss of the paint on the top surface is good, and it is in good condition with a vintage guitar feel. The control knobs, jack plate, switch plate, pickup rings, pickguard, bridge, tailpiece, and strap pins have been replaced.

【neck】
The neck is a 3-piece mahogany with a volute. The fingerboard is made of rare ebony. There is some weather checking around the headstock, and some paint chipping and minor scratches on the back of the neck from use, but like the body, it is in good condition with a nice vintage feel. There are signs that different tuners were installed in the past, but it is currently fitted with Grover 103C tuners. The frets and nut have been replaced and show almost no wear, resulting in good playability. The nut width is 43.0mm. It features a comfortable neck shape that is neither too thin nor too thick.

[Electrical System]
The most notable feature is the conversion to a 3-pickup configuration, with the middle pickup being unwired and acting as a dummy. The controls consist of a 3-way pickup selector (neck/neck + bridge/bridge), 2 volume controls, and 2 tone controls. The neck pickup is a DiMarzio "DP-308Z PAF 57," and the bridge pickup is a DiMarzio "DP-100 Super Distortion." The dummy middle pickup is a DiMarzio "DP-103 PAF." The front tone potentiometer is the original, while the other three have been replaced. Other capacitors have also been replaced. In addition to the powerful, crisp, and articulate sound of the bridge position, the warm and mellow sound of the neck position broadens the range of the sound.

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.
