--------------------------------------------

The following is quoted from the product page.

The Passive Power DI Mono is a passive DI box equipped with a transformer that converts the sound of guitars, basses, acoustic guitars, synthesizers, and digital equipment to an analog-like tone, allowing you to send it directly to a mixer or PA system. The internal transformer suppresses the digital harshness and grit of high frequencies, faithfully transmitting only the essential sounds, resulting in a warm sound even with digital equipment. Furthermore, the "MELLOW switch" allows you to emphasize the depth and fullness characteristic of transformer-driven tones.

As a passive design that operates without a power supply, it can handle high-output signals without worrying about power limitations. It has ample headroom, allowing for clipping-free input from 18V active basses and preamp outputs. Signal conversion is performed solely by transformers, resulting in extremely low noise with no active noise. Standard features such as THRU OUT and GROUND LIFT are also included.

It boasts high durability and uses Amphenol and Neutrik connectors. The lightweight and compact case design makes it easy to carry. Its high basic specifications deliver low noise, low loss gain, and high headroom, making it ideal for building a simple and streamlined sound system. It excels not only with stereo output effects pedals and synthesizers, but also for clearly reproducing the pickup signal of an acoustic guitar. When connecting directly to an amplifier or PA system for live performances or solo acoustic sets, it maintains a natural tone and rich resonance.

Traditional passive DIs often require increased input impedance to accommodate passive pickups, which can lead to volume loss and increased noise. However, the Passive Power DI is specifically designed for active signals. It's designed as a moderately balanced pad of around -8dB, minimizing signal loss and noise while also placing minimal strain on output equipment.

This passive DI box, favored by professional engineers, easily and conveniently delivers the analog-like sound quality that is characteristic of such devices, making it ideal for a variety of instruments and equipment, including acoustic guitars.
