Description
Description
Dingwall has impressed first-call bassist Lee Sklar, who has participated in recordings and live performances with numerous famous artists, and has earned high praise from discerning bassists around the world for its distinctive FANNED-FRET SYSTEM, body balance, and pickup placement.
The "D-Roc Standard" is a new lineup from D-Roc that boasts high cost performance while maintaining quality comparable to higher-end models, achieved by sourcing wood in Canada/USA, processing the wood at a factory in China, and assembling it in a workshop in Canada, just like the Combution and NG series.
This guitar features a mahogany body, maple neck, and pau ferro fingerboard, and its beautifully thin top arch and back contour, inspired by Lamborghini, eliminate the neck dive often found in TB-style guitars, resulting in a model that combines ultimate design with exceptional playability.
This instrument features an FD-3N pickup, producing an authentic sound with excellent responsiveness and clarity. Dingwall's signature pickup configuration switching allows for a wide range of tone shaping, from sharp and solid sounds to thick and powerful sounds.
The D-Bird features a pickup configuration of "Front, Middle and Rear/Middle/Middle&Rear/Rear," allowing it to produce PB-like sounds, NG-2-like sounds, and power comparable to active pickups that output all pickups.
The scale length starts at 37 inches for the 5th string and the 1st string is 34 inches, the same as a normal long scale, employing a FANNED-FRET SYSTEM. This ensures that every string produces well-balanced tension and a solid tone. The tight vibration of the low B string, which gives it a well-defined sound, is another unique feature of this model. The FANNED-FRET SYSTEM (Multi Scale), already adopted by many brands, has frets positioned to follow the natural movement of the human arm, so everyone who tries it in a store says it's "surprisingly easy to play." The body design, which makes you not feel the ultra-long 37-inch scale at all, also contributes to this. The tight vibration of the low B string, which gives it a well-defined sound, is another unique feature of this model.
While there is some wear on the back of the neck and string marks on the top of the pickup cover from use, there are no major damages such as dents or paint chips, and it remains in good condition. Of course, there is also plenty of adjustment range in the truss rod, so it is recommended for those considering a new guitar.
