We've received a recommended parallel import used 7-string version of the headless guitar "Hydra" by Mayones! It's a 2020 model.

Founded in 1982, Polish guitar manufacturer Mayones Guitars has established a strong following primarily in Europe, thanks to its solid and meticulous handcrafted construction, unique and distinctive designs, and a sound that has captivated many artists. In recent years, it has rapidly gained worldwide attention.

This time, our recommended parallel import used guitar is the Mayones "Hydara," a model whose most distinctive feature is its instantly recognizable headless construction! It's a 2020 model. It features a Black Limba body, a Wenge/Purpleheart 5-ply bolt-on neck, an ebony fingerboard, 24 stainless steel extra-jumbo frets, and Seymour Duncan pickups. This series is known for offering Mayones' sophisticated ergonomic design at a more affordable price.

Black Limba is characterized by its beautiful wood grain and rich acoustic properties.
It has a warm and rich midrange similar to mahogany, but with slightly better mid-high frequencies, allowing you to enjoy a clear and distinct sound! The balance of high, mid, and low frequencies is also good, making it an easy-to-use sound!

The 6-bolt-on construction with a large contact surface between the body and neck increases the degree of contact between the body and neck, allowing vibrations from picking to be efficiently transmitted from the body to the neck. This retains the solid, resonant, and responsive sound characteristic of bolt-on necks, while also producing ample sustain.

The neck features a 5-ply laminate construction primarily of wenge wood combined with purpleheart wood, allowing you to enjoy the heavy, hard, and sharp sound characteristic of wenge, the clear and deep tone from the ebony fingerboard, and the fast picking response produced by the robust 5-ply neck.

The headless design, as you can see, results in a more compact shape and lighter instrument due to the absence of a head. However, it also eliminates resonance from the head, reducing the elements that cause sound vibrations to clash. This allows for smoother transmission of picking vibrations through the body and neck, eliminating dead spots and resulting in a more balanced sound.

Furthermore, the metal part with the Mayones logo attached to the end of the neck is not merely decorative; it adds mass to the headless structure, which lacks the mass of a headstock, and thus plays a role in improving sustain.

Bare Knuckle Pickups were selected for this guitar. There is no spec sheet, and the model name is not written on the back, so the model number is unknown. The volume pot can be pulled to enable coil tapping.

The distinctive body end structure, while aesthetically pleasing, also serves to prevent accidental tuner operation during playing, demonstrating a thoughtful design that considers both aesthetics and functionality.

We've just received a recommended parallel import used item! It's a 2020 model.
There is a slight forward bow in the neck towards the 7th string, but this does not affect playability at present. This slight twist is unavoidable due to the inherent difference in tension between the 7th and 1st strings.

Otherwise, it's in generally good condition with minimal signs of use. There are no issues or problems with its operation or playability.
This item has undergone full maintenance and cleaning at our shop, so it is ready to use immediately.
The knobs have been replaced with wood-grain style ones. The original black knobs are also included.

The frets are in good working order and, being stainless steel, have almost all of their life remaining. The nut is also in good working order and the truss rod can be adjusted normally.

The electrical system has also been fully checked, so there are no problems with its operation.

The weight is approximately 3.36 kg. It has a well-balanced design that is easy to use.
