The 2025 custom color model is now in like-new condition!

This guitar is based on an early 1962 Stratocaster with a slab board.
The neck is made of AAA grade rosewood with a relatively even grain, a 60 style shape with relic detailing, and a compound radius that is designed for playability.
The body and neck are all-lacquer, just like vintage models. The relic finish features irregular weathering and some paint chipping in places. The back of the neck has been significantly chipped from the 1st to 12th frets, providing a smooth playing feel. The remaining paint has faded to a amber color with the clear coat, giving it a dignified look.
The neck grip is a classic "60s Oval C" shape, typical of rosewood fingerboard models. The lower positions are slim, while the upper positions are thicker. When you hold it, it feels slim.
Even among Fenders, which are known for their clear, natural sound thanks to their bolt-on construction, the sound of the Custom Shop guitars is second to none, with a sense of airiness and thickness of sound that is on another level when output from an amplifier. Furthermore, the relic finish provides a resonance so rich that you can fully experience the vibrations of the body and neck with just one chord. The overwhelming natural sound is so comfortable you'll want to play it for hours even without an amplifier, and the satisfying playing feel is a quality that can only be experienced with a Custom Shop guitar.
The pickups that produce this wonderful tone are all hand-wound. Compared to regular machine-wound pickups, they produce a richer overtone and a more acoustically ethereal sound from the amplifier. The alder/rosewood pickups produce a stunning sound with a thick, sustained midrange. Experience the tone that makes this a versatile Stratocaster, producing a clean yet thick sound.
The controls are VINTAGE MODIFIED STRAT #2. The volume control is a BLEED customization based on a high-pass capacitor that combines a ceramic capacitor and a resistor, while the tone controls use FENDER paper wax capacitors that match each position. The BLEED customization allows you to turn down the volume while maintaining the mid- and high-frequency range. The volume control is useful as a gain control, with full volume for lead tones, 6-8 for backing tones, and 6 and below for clean/crunch tones. Compared to a typical high-pass capacitor, the midrange remains and the tone is not too thin. The tone control capacitors are appropriately selected for the neck/middle tone and bridge tone positions, achieving a balanced overall tone and also offering an appealing tone cut. Despite its vintage look, this guitar is a modern, ready-to-play guitar!

*As for the condition, there are no dents or other damage to the frets, and more than 90% of the frets remain. We have also confirmed that there is sufficient clearance in the truss rod.
The electrical system is also in good condition and the unit shows almost no signs of use.
