FAQ

Description

A used '70 Stratocaster, believed to be a Yamano Music order, made by master builder Greg Fessler, who has earned the trust of numerous renowned players such as Robben Ford, John Mayer, and Joe Bonamassa, has arrived!

Greg has crafted guitars for a vast number of artists, including Joe Bonamassa, Jeff Healey, Hank Marvin, John Mayer, Rhonda Smith, Neal Schon, and Pete Wentz, and each one is packed with the meticulous attention to detail expected of a Master Builder that impresses even world-class artists.

This instrument features an alder body with a large headstock bearing the CBS logo, a round-laminated rosewood fingerboard with 70s-style F-logo tuners, and a quarter-sawn maple neck with a four-bolt joint that subtly reveals the grain, all following the 1970 specifications favored by Greg Fessler. The presence of Yamano's signature in the neck pocket suggests that it was a shop order from that era.

The pickups consist of a gray bobbin in the front position and black bobbins in the middle and rear positions. Since there are no signs of modifications, the circuitry is presumed to be original.

With its high-quality lacquer finish that feels smooth and comfortable in your hand, a C-shaped grip that supports effortless playing, a tremolo unit that operates smoothly the moment you touch it, and a superior sound with a thick, clear attack, this is a supreme instrument that will make you understand why it is loved by so many musicians once you pick it up. Please consider it!

What is the Fender Custom Shop?
This section was established in 1987 to produce the finest guitars under the Fender brand, using carefully selected materials from the wood sourced by Fender, and employing traditional handcrafting techniques and advanced manufacturing methods.

This section inherits the tradition and technology of Fender, a company with a long history. From models like the Masterbuilder Series, where only one exists in the world, to the lineup assembled by a limited number of staff, the Custom Shop lineup is truly top-of-the-line and of the highest quality.

The tools used in their production include jigs and other equipment that were in use during the 1950s and 1960s. The instruments, crafted with meticulous attention to detail by staff who are intimately familiar with Fender guitar know-how, boast exceptional quality and sound that will satisfy any player, becoming a reliable companion that you can cherish for a lifetime.

*Regarding the condition, there are no noticeable dents or damage to the frets, and approximately 70% of the frets remain. The truss rod also has plenty of adjustment range.
The electrical system is in good working order, but there is a paint chip about 7mm in diameter on the side of the neck pocket, faint small dents and scratches all over the body, mainly on the sides, some tarnishing and rust on the metal parts, and slight weather checking near the joint plate.

*Please refer to the photos for any particularly noticeable large scratches or damage.
