Description
(Renold Silky)
For 60 years, Silky Sound has defined an era in the professional brass scene.
Their outstanding intonation, response and resonance have solidified Silky's reputation as a top-tier instrument.
Silky's manufacturing style involves meticulously crafting each and every instrument down to the smallest detail, resulting in all instruments being completed with such care that they can be called "custom-made."
This time-honoured tradition has resulted in the unique silky beauty, balance when held and, most importantly, superior sound quality.
At Schilke, our number one priority is ensuring that the same manufacturing process and attention to detail and craftsmanship that Renold O. Schilke established in 1956 continues to be infused into every instrument today.
i Series
Coexistence of tradition and cutting edge technology
The i32 and i33 models were developed by taking advantage of Silky's long experience and pursuing greater ease of playing and handling.
The main features are the newly designed mouthpiece receiver and valve casing.
In addition, the i32 model was developed based on the #2 taper used in the famous bell designs "S32" and "B5," while the i33 model was developed based on the #3 taper used in "S33HD" and "S23HD."
Both models combine the best features of existing models without compromising on their brilliant tone or stable pitch.
