α-HEAD BK for 14-inch [Brush Training Sheet / Snare Mute Sheet / Black]

This revolutionary multi-purpose seat, developed jointly by RCC DRUM SCHOOL and ASPR, is now available in black and will enhance drummers' practice and performance.

By using a black film that is softer than clear film and applying an LC coating, it has a softer feel than the conventional α-HEAD.

The project began with a request from the RCC Drum School for a pad specifically designed for wire brush practice. After much discussion and prototyping, we came up with this...

1. The material and coating are exactly the same as a real drum head
2. The size is 14 inches, the same as a standard snare drum
3. It's easy to carry and you can practice anytime you have a flat surface.

The α-HEAD is a pad that was created to meet these requirements.
The striking surface is made of the same coated film as the ASPR head, and the back uses a special mesh sheet that provides just the right amount of elasticity, maintains its shape, and is non-slip. This makes it the perfect product for its original purpose: practicing brush strokes.
When you place the α-HEAD on a snare drum and play, the high-pitched snare instantly changes to a low-pitched, dry sound. The tom-sized α-HEAD produces a warm sound reminiscent of the good old days when recordings were made with a blanket over the drum. The ability to instantly change the sound and the striking surface being the same as a coated head are major differences from the methods used back then.
How you use the α-HEAD is entirely up to the drummer! Use it in a variety of situations, from live performances to recording and practice!
