Description

Carefully selected consignment items (sales on behalf of customers)

The Telecaster debuted as the Broadcaster in 1950 and has since reigned alongside the Stratocaster as a signature Fender guitar model. It's a classic electric guitar, with not only Fender's original model but also models inspired by it being produced by various manufacturers.

This is the "Blue Flower Telecaster," which appeared during the height of the psychedelic/flower movement. It's a rare item, produced for a very short period between 1968 and 1969. This latest arrival is an extremely rare example, one of the early production models with a veneer maple fingerboard. Known for being extremely rare, with very limited production runs, it's hard to find one in stock, so we recommend checking it out soon.

【body】
The total weight is approximately 3.6 kg. The alder body is covered with blue floral wallpaper and finished with a clear lacquer. Each model shows some shrinkage of the wallpaper due to age, and there are cracks, but the paper is not very warped. There is weather checking, dents, and scratches, as well as rust and dullness on the metal parts, including shrinkage of the wallpaper, but the blue color is not faded much, and it is in excellent condition, typical of a vintage blue floral guitar.

【neck】
The neck is made of maple. It features a maple neck with a maple fingerboard, commonly known as "laminated maple." It's a rare example of a guitar from the lacquer finish era. While there is some weather checking around the headstock, stickers from the previous dealer, paint chipping on the fingerboard and back of the neck due to use, and tarnish on the metal parts, like the body, it retains a vintage feel and is in relatively good condition. The tuners are loose overall, but still function. The frets and nut have been replaced, with only slight wear, ensuring good playability. The headstock is 15.3mm thick and the nut width is 41.0mm. The neck is in relatively sturdy condition.

[Electrical system]
The controls are classic Telecaster style, but the switch has been replaced with a current wiring system that allows for pickup mix: a 3-way pickup selector (neck/mix/bridge), volume, and tone. While some wiring materials have been changed, most of the controls, including the pickups, remain original. The guitar delivers an exceptionally natural sound, almost imperceptible to the wallpaper covering the body. The alder body's three-dimensional resonance and the gray bobbin pickups, with their distinctively loud tone from the late 1960s, combine to produce a powerful, powerful sound. The bridge position delivers a distinctive Telecaster tone, combining sharp, crisp sound with powerful tone, while the neck position delivers a clear, sweet sound with a firm core. Despite its beautiful, period-influenced looks, this guitar delivers a highly practical and refined vintage Telecaster sound.
