Description

We have just received a signature guitar from Andy Wood, a skilled guitarist familiar to Suhr fans, who describes it as special.

At first glance, this guitar has a classic silhouette, but it combines superb sound and playability with Andy's signature TL-style ash body, which is characteristic of Andy's signature guitar with roots in country music, a roasted maple neck that produces crystal tone, 24 frets that will appeal to technical players, a cutaway neck joint that makes fingering easier, signature Woodshed pickups, and the SSCII hum noise cancellation system. This is a masterpiece that allows you to enjoy the artist specs that only a signature model can offer, with superb sound and playability.

The first thing that catches your eye is the whiskey barrel-colored ash body, which brings out the beautiful grain. It's a rare finish, but the ash body is burned with a burner, then sprayed with a satin brown finish, creating a torched stain finish. Combined with the grain created by the large ducts characteristic of ash, it creates a unique finish with a warm, comfortable feel.
Furthermore, the pickguard and control panel, which are key to the guitar's appearance, are made of aluminum/black anodized, and the combination with the finish creates a bold look.

The bridge is made by Wilkinson, a classic Suhr T-style bridge. Its unique three-way saddles provide directness and excellent intonation (pitch), while the cut sides of the bridge plate provide excellent playability. It's difficult to mute the bridge with a standard TL bridge plate, but it's a welcome change.

The Roasted Maple selected for the neck material provides outstanding stability to the sound texture of the maple neck, resulting in comfortable sustain and vibration, allowing you to enjoy the clear, transparent sound that is unique to Roasted Maple.
The neck shape is the Modern Elliptical .780-.830, a popular shape for the Modern series. It offers a comfortable grip and naturally encourages phrasing. The Jumbo Stainless Steel frets provide excellent response and a clear touch.
The fingerboard radius is a super flat 16R. This 16R radius was created at Andy's request, giving the guitar a unique signature feel and exceptional playing feel.

The pickups are Woodshed Classic T low-wound pickups, making it easy to adjust the tone of your playing. The guitar also features the Silent Single-Coil (SSCII) hum-canceling system, which adapts to the various noise levels present in each guitar's environment, ensuring low-noise output without losing the tone of the individual pickups, even in high-gain setups.

This supreme signature model incorporates the requests of Andy Wood, a world-renowned, highly skilled guitarist. His signature engraved on the headstock is proof of his approval of this guitar's capabilities!
