XS Electric Strings 7-string set

The D'Addario XS Series is a breath of fresh air in the coated string category. All wound strings are coated with an ultra-thin film, and plain strings are treated with a unique polymer coating to protect the strings from dirt and substances that promote deterioration. The latest coating technology and D'Addario's unique manufacturing techniques combine to create an unprecedented, revolutionary coated string.

Ultra-thin coating: A revolutionary new coating technology creates an ultra-thin ePTFE film that's less than one-tenth the thickness of a human hair. This protects the wound strings from dirt and dust, ensuring a fresh tone that lasts for a long time.

・NY STEEL
D'Addario's proprietary NY Steel (a high-carbon steel alloy), which is also well-known for its NYXL and XT series strings, boasts overwhelming strength and tuning stability compared to conventional strings.

・FUSION TWIST
Fusion Twist processing prevents tuning errors caused by loose strings, resulting in excellent tuning stability and improved break resistance.

◆Differences between the "XT" series and the "XS" series
D'Addario's coated strings come in two series: the XT and XS.
The XT strings' coating structure uses a special micro-polymer coating on the wound strings, resulting in a coated string that feels closer to non-coated strings.
The new XS series features a coating structure that covers the entire string using an ePTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) film that is one-tenth the thickness of a human hair, rather than a micropolymer.

The entire string is coated with an ultra-thin film. Five times more durable than uncoated strings. The strongest protective performance of any D'Addario string. Smooth to the touch.

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.
