James Tyler Guitars Japan was started when James Tyler proposed that he wanted to produce JTG guitars that reflected his own ideas as a guitar designer, using Japan's outstanding technical capabilities.

The production process began with obtaining highly accurate 3D CAD data, which is the heart of James Tyler's guitar design. Based on this data, we began by combining it with Asuka's outstanding technical skills. After several detailed prototypes were created and repeated trial and error, the final check was conducted by James Tyler himself at the JAMES TYLER GUITARS Factory in LA. The quality was so high that James Tyler exclaimed, "Are you going to go this extreme? It's perfect!" Since its release, new products have been produced using the same process, and James Tyler Guitars Japan is a guitar we can confidently recommend to all guitar players.

It's been in the hands of countless artists, making it an essential model in any discussion of James Tyler's history. The body is made of alder, and the neck is made of maple of comparable quality to the USA with a rosewood fingerboard, making this a traditional bolt-on guitar from the 1960s.

The thin neck profile offers excellent playability, carved using a jig based on the original James Tyler grip, made in the USA. The fingerboard features smooth scalloped edges, an 11-radius fingerboard, and jumbo Jascar frets. The slant-cut joint between the body and neck provides excellent playability in the upper registers. The guitar delivers a clear, responsive, and natural tone, while the vibration of the body and neck is simply breathtaking. You can clearly feel the amplification of Tyler's signature sparkling tone through the body and neck! The alder construction delivers a familiar solid-body sound with a richer mid-low range than models with a Mamyo body.

The bridge features a Gotoh T-sustain block, and the saddles are vintage-style pressed saddles with a JAMES TYLER stamp. This combination is a golden combination, with a smooth arm action and saddles that produce vintage-like overtones. The nut is made of smooth Black Tusk wood. The tuning machines are equipped with Hip Shot locking pegs, ensuring tuning stability and allowing for quick string changes. Despite the long scale, the locking pegs and Gotoh bridge allow for light string tension and excellent playability, even with strings ranging from .010 to .046.

The pickups, featuring meticulous specifications, deliver a stunning body resonance with a James Tyler Original single coil/humbucker SSH configuration. Despite the SSH layout, they offer a balanced volume and sound characteristics, delivering clear, responsive tone and excellent sustain. The wiring, grounding, and volume control all use the same parts as the original USA model. The volume pot is equipped with a high-pass capacitor, ensuring high frequencies are not lost even when the volume is turned down.

The controls are simple passive, with tone controls for each single coil, and the bridge humbucker is tone bypassed, producing a direct, harmonically rich, and full-bodied sound!

This latest model features a "SUPER-X" bridge pickup that allows you to switch between RETRO and SUPER output! The switch is located in the same position as the bypass push switch on the HD model. With the switch up, the output is RETRO. In RETRO mode, the tone is so natural it feels like a balanced triple-single-coil setup.

The attention to detail and quality are so faithful to the original that it's hard to believe it's a Japanese-made guitar. It feels right at home in your hand, and we recommend the James Tyler Guitars Japan as a long-lasting companion! This is a must-have item!

This time, we have a recommended used item in stock! It is made in 2020.
There are some minor scratches, discoloration on the body, uneven paint on the left side of the body top, and some dullness on some parts, but the overall condition is excellent! We've given it a full maintenance and cleaning at our shop, so it's ready to use right away!

The frets are in good condition and most of them remain. The nut is also in good condition and can be used as is. The truss rod can be adjusted normally.

The weight is approximately 3.39 kg. It has a good balance that makes it easy to use!
