・Vegetable-tanned leather Full vegetable-tanned leather is leather that has been tanned with tannins. The technique of tanning with vegetable tannins has its origins in prehistoric times and reached its peak in Tuscany. For centuries, tanners in the Tuscan region have passed down the precious tradition of traditional recipes, advanced blending techniques, and craftsmanship. Craftsmen extract natural tannins from trees and produce leather through a time-consuming and careful process that does not disrupt the natural cycle. Vegetable tannins are extracted from natural trees in a concentrated state. Because they would have a rapid effect on the surface of the leather in their natural state, a unique technique is used to gradually tan the leather over a long period of time. A characteristic feature is that the leather changes to a rich, deep color tone throughout the entire process. Also, because the natural texture of the leather is utilized, there may be individual differences such as lines and wrinkles.
