Founded by the late Johnny Claviotto, a world-renowned master craftsman of single-ply shell drums, the Claviotto Drum Company produces drums with solid (single-ply) shells, which are completely different from ply shells.
Having developed a technique to bend single-ply wood using steam, Mr. Claviotto himself has carefully selected the finest materials without any compromise. The beautiful oil finish is made as thin as possible to maximize the resonance of the shell, and the drums feature meticulously crafted tubular lugs and Claviotto's original snare wires, all of which are elevated to a level that can truly be called works of art, and are handmade by a small team of highly skilled craftsmen.

The "Solitaire Series" was launched with the ambitious intention of using metal materials that had never been previously part of Claviot's product lineup.
This model features a shell made from the highest quality aero-grade aluminum.
The 3mm thick shells, hand-rolled in a US factory, feature an artistically designed airhole line that mimics Craviot's iconic "walnut inlay," and a "dual diamond venting system."
It produces a dry sound image.
The Claviot's true strength lies in its extremely sensitive response and the excellent snappy grip, which allows for effortless touch control.
It delivers a tight and clear sound across the entire dynamic range, from subtle touches to full shots.

Many products are stocked across Ikebe stores in Japan. As a result, shipment may take several days. In-store sales may also cause items to sell out. If an item is unavailable, we will contact you promptly; in that case, the order will be canceled and any payment will be refunded.

■ Shipping

We ship via FedEx. Shipments are fully insured against damage or loss during transit.

Shipping costs are calculated based on the delivery address and confirmed at the time of dispatch.
