Description
[SD435DG]
The David Garibaldi model features a vibrant clear blue brass shell snare drum. The excellent balance of high and low frequencies is enhanced by the three air holes, making the sound even clearer.
Even among discontinued Yamaha snare drums, this is still highly regarded for both its sound and looks, making it a truly exceptional instrument.
This is a particularly rare early model, featuring a seamless brass shell.
It combines clear high frequencies with rich mid- and low-frequency ranges, providing quick response and excellent sound clarity.
With a wide tuning range and ample, rich sound, it is suitable for creating a variety of sounds, from tight sounds to thick backbeats, and as David Garibaldi himself says, a single unit can be used to suit a wide range of musical styles.
Another major attraction is the beautiful appearance of the blue clear lacquer finish.
This particular piece also has a signature from David Garibaldi on the inside of the shell.
[Comment from David Garibaldi himself]
My snare drum sound comes primarily from the funk tradition.
I've always loved the high-pitched crack of the snare backbeat, but also the subtle clarity of the notes played so briefly and softly.
One of the main advantages of this snare drum is its versatility: even though it was designed with one type of music in mind, tuning it in various ways makes it ideal for many other styles.
This snare drum was mainly born from my drum concept, so it's a key element of my sound. The DG snare has all the characteristics I like in a snare drum.
It's also super cool. I highly recommend you give it a try.
