Description
Description
[Elvin Jones Signature MSD1470EJ]
This is the model that the late jazz drum master Elvin Jones used as his companion until his final performance on stage.
From intricate brushwork to dynamic, energetic sounds, this snare drum can deliver all the sounds Elvin Jones demands.
[Artist comment by ELVIN JONES]
To me, this signature drum is the most innovative snare drum designed in the last 50 years.
Vintage wood hoops are designed so that the tension rods do not protrude from the striking surface, ensuring consistent contact with the rim and sound no matter where you strike.
This snare drum is a beautiful instrument of the highest quality, and meets all my requirements and sonic desires in a snare drum.
That's the bare minimum for me.
[Vintage Hoop]
The Vintage Wood Hoop is made of 19-ply all-maple wood and features a special urethane finish for exceptional durability.
This maximizes the overall drum response without compromising the natural sound of the snare drum, and also makes for a powerful rim shot.
