Every drummer embarks on a long journey in search of that one instrument. This new series, the SLP Sound Lab Project, was created to serve as a guidepost for such drummers.
Not only do we offer a wide selection of shell materials, but we also craft shells with precision down to the millimeter of shell thickness. And to maximize their potential, we use newly developed hoops and tubular lugs in addition to existing parts. Combining these elements creates a wide variety of sounds, making this a snare drum series suitable for all genres.
The SLP Sonic Stainless Steel Snare Drum LSS1465 is a snare drum made of 1.2mm thick stainless steel.
Stainless steel is a hard metal that produces a powerful and direct sound.
In addition, the use of an extra-thick 3.0mm outward-bent flange hoop, a first for SLP, raises the overall sound range from low to high frequencies, resulting in a thick, open sound from low to high pitches.
The snare is made of 30-strand carbon steel, providing both sound pressure that won't get lost in a loud band sound and crisp snare.
The depth is molded to a slightly deeper size of 6.5, and at low pitches it produces a pleasant bass tone that resonates deep into your body, while at high pitches it produces a sound that is both crisp and has a rich, clear sound.
This snare drum can be used for a wide range of genres, including rock (mixture, digital, alternative, electronica, etc.), pop, fusion, etc., depending on the tuning.
